A Brazilian 2014 presidential candidate, Mauro Iasi, called for the death of anyone opposed to socialism—namely, “conservatives”—during a speech in June at the 2nd National Congress of CSP-Conlutas (Trade Union and Popular Central) in Brazil.
Mauro Iasi ran for president in 2014 on the Brazilian Communist Party (PCB-Partido Comunista Brasileiro) ticket. He is also a professor at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ).
While discussing how to build a model “socialist society,” Iasi described conservatives as “dangerous,” and advocated “offensive action” against opponents of socialism, rather than engaging in any “dialog” with them. Instead, in his simple words, Iasi recommended “a good wall, a good gun, a good bullet, a good shovel and a good pit” for all conservatives and opponents of socialism.
