Missouri county posts meth lab seizures online

ST. LOUIS

The Jefferson County Sheriff's Department is posting addresses on its Web site where it has found evidence linked to illegal methamphetamine labs.

Capt. Ralph Brown says the newly public listings are designed to increase awareness about the meth problem in the county.

Brown says the sheriff's department will provide more information to residents who call about an address, if it legally can. And he said residents are welcome to call the department with any tips.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says Jefferson County leads the nation in its number of meth-lab incidents, which include seizing labs, finding dump sites and meth-making equipment.
