None Dare Call Them Treason: Obama’s Iran Nuclear Weapons Deal & the Corker Bill

#AprilFoolsDeal Obama caves on Iran nuclear weapons Senate Republicans cave on Iran nuclear weapons

George Rasley, CHQ Editor

When asked what the lesson of the first Gulf War was General S.F.Rodrigues, formerly Chief of Staff of the Indian Army said, "Don't fight the Americans without nuclear weapons." The corollary to that observation is “You don’t seek nuclear weapons unless you plan to fight the United States.”

The Islamic Republic of Iran, the world’s number one state sponsor of terrorism, has been “fighting” the United States for almost 40 years. And for the same period of time American policy toward Iran has been to prevent the Islamic Republic from acquiring nuclear weapons.

To advance that policy the United States Congress has imposed economic sanctions on Iran and past Presidents have made it clear that the United States was prepared to enforce that policy with all means necessary – implying at least the potential for military action if necessary to stop the Iranian nuclear weapons program.

The nuclear weapons deal President Obama and Secretary of State John Kerry have “negotiated” with Iran discards that wise policy and, in conjunction with legislation written and sponsored by Tennessee Republican Senator Bob Corker, the Iran Nuclear Agreement Review Act of 2015, turns American constitutional processes for ratifying a treaty with other nations on their head.

If a group of Americans act in concert to advance the purposes of a nation (the Islamic Republic of Iran) that has an avowed and public policy of acquiring a nuclear weapon for the purpose of fighting the United States is not committing treason, we invite those who disagree to suggest an alternative term.

To those who accept the argument advanced by President Obama and Secretary of State Kerry that engaging the Iranian regime will “advance the cause of peace” we must observe that while Obama and Kerry readily ignore the Constitution of the United States there’s no evidence that the leaders of Iran are prepared to ignore the constitution of the Islamic Republic.

And the Constitution of the Islamic Republic of Iran is quite clear on what the purpose of their government is; and it is not to preserve life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness and the blessing of liberty for its citizens and their posterity.

The purpose of the Islamic Republic of Iran, and its armed forces, is to spread Islam across the world.

Expert: Obama 'Siding with Iran' in Yemen Conflict Score: More about Printer Friendly Send to a Friend Save as PDF Read More...

B.O. allies with Iran

The Obama administration is “siding with Iran” while operating “over the heads of the Saudis” in its deliberations over the future of Yemen, Tony Badran, a research fellow for the Foundation of Defense of Democracies, wrote Friday in an analysis published on the Lebanese website NOW News.

Badran noted that a number of administration officials, while publicly claiming to support the Saudis, have actually “tilted much more toward Iran.” Last week, for example, one administration official said that Saudi Arabia should stick to defending its border.

“At some point, an air campaign has diminishing and marginal returns,” another official told columnist David Ignatius the following day. “Let’s not lose sight of the fact that the Yemen conflict will have to be solved politically.” At the same time, other administration officials played up Iran’s supposedly positive intentions, claiming that Tehran had in fact discouraged the Houthis from taking over Sanaa.

Once the Saudis did announce an end to Operation Decisive Storm, the administration quickly took credit, leaking that it was US pressure that made Riyadh back down. “The Saudis,” a State Department spokesperson said on Wednesday, “understand that the path forward here needs to be dialogue.”

Obama was signaling a kind of indirect partnership with Tehran, which the Iranians were quick to exploit. On Tuesday, hours before the Saudis even made their announcement, Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian preemptively declared “that in the coming hours, after many efforts, we will see a halt to military attacks in Yemen.” With this seemingly innocuous statement, the Iranians showed the world that they are negotiating with the Americans over the heads of the Saudis.

Luke 10:18 -

"And He said unto them, I beheld Satan as lightning falling from the heavens". Jesus spoke these words in Aramaic, the most ancient form of Hebrew.

In Strong's Hebrew dictionary, word number 1299 - a primitive root word meaning to lightnen or (lightning) or to cast forth is baraq (baw-rak').

As in Isaiah 14:16-19. the word for heights or heavens, according to Strong's Hebrew dictionary - word number 1116 - (meaning to be high); an elevation - height, high place, wave is bamah (bam-maw')

In Hebrew, the letter wau or vau is translated as the letter u. Some scholars use the letter o for this transliteration. It is primarily used as a conjunction to join two concepts together.

So Baraq O Bamah or Baraq U Bamah, in Hebrew poetry would translate literally as "lightning from the heights".

The word satan is a direct translation in Hebrew.

So, Jesus' prophecy in Luke 10:18, if spoken by a Jewish Rabbi today, influenced by the poetry of Isaiah..he would say...AND I SAW SATAN AS BARAQ O BAMAH

Obama's IS Strategy, Decoded Score: More about Printer Friendly Send to a Friend Save as PDF Read More...

President Obama was being needlessly modest when he told reporters he had no strategy for dealing with the Islamic State.

Not true.

He does, in fact, have a strategy; it's just been buried under a pile of bloated, JV-league cliches.

After carefully reviewing his many statements on the topic over the past months, we've managed to piece the president's line of reasoning together into a more or less coherent statement.

To wit, with all the supporting quotes to back it up:

IS is no big deal since they're just one of many terror groups . ..

"I think it's important for us to recognize that ISIL is just one of a number of organizations that we have to stay focused on." — June 22

... and they're bush league to boot.

"The analogy we use around here sometimes, and I think is accurate, is if a JV team puts on Lakers uniforms, that doesn't make them Kobe Bryant." — Jan. 27

Besides, we just can't attack every two-bit group than hangs a terrorist shingle out.

"What we can't do is think that we're just going to play whack-a-mole and send U.S. troops occupying various countries wherever these organizations pop up." — June 22

Ha! Just kidding! IS is a threat to the region and to the U.S.

"We have an interest in making sure that a group like ISIL, which is a vicious organization and has been able to take advantage of the chaos in Syria, that they don't get a broader foothold." — Aug. 18

They are, in fact, a tumor in need of surgery ...

"Rooting out a cancer like ISIL will not be quick or easy, but I'm confident that we can — and we will." — Aug. 28

... and removal.

"Our objective is clear, and that is to degrade and destroy ISIL so that it's no longer a threat not just to Iraq, but also the region and to the United States." — Sept. 3
So our plan is to, um, push back on them just a bit ...

"My priority at this point is to make sure that the gains that ISIL made in Iraq are rolled back." — Aug. 28

... and try to make IS a situation we can deal with.

"If we are joined by the international community, we can continue to shrink ISIL's sphere of influence, its effectiveness, its financing, its military capabilities to the point where it is a manageable problem." —Sep. 3

In any case, rest assured that we're doing as little as possible . ..

"I want to make sure everybody is clear on what we're doing now, because it is limited. Our focus right now is to protect American personnel on the ground in Iraq; to protect our embassy, to protect our consulates." — Aug. 28

. . . because there's no military solution to this terror threat . ..

"As I said when I authorized these operations, there is no American military solution to the larger crisis in Iraq."—Aug. 11

... even though our troops could kick the Islamic State's butt if we let them.

"Our military is the best in the world. We can route ISIL on the ground." — Aug. 28

Which we never will ...

White House official: The Islamic State is the next administration’s problem

Noah Rothman

The word of the day is “deliberate.”

On Thursday morning, White House Deputy National Security Advisor Tony Blinken said that the Obama administration is seeking to combat the Islamic State threat, as it executes one “terrorist attack” after another against the United States, in a “deliberate” fashion. That’s a far more generous way of confessing to near paralytic dithering.

Last week, President Barack Obama admitted that his administration does not “have a strategy yet” for attacking the Islamic State in its Syrian stronghold. On Wednesday, noting in the same speech that his administration would seek to “destroy” ISIS and/or “shrink” it into a “manageable problem,” he revealed that he does not really even have a single objective in mind for how to deal with the Islamic State.

The White House has begun to push back on an increasingly panicked press, the members of which appear to have come to the reluctant conclusion that there is no hand on the tiller, noting that both can be true: You can “shrink,” “degrade,” make “manageable,” and eventually “destroy” ISIS. While this may be true, the words of the president and his subordinates leave the listener with the impression that this is a policy being crafted on the fly.

Blinken told MSNBC’s Morning Joe that the United States is stalling on responding forcefully to crimes against humanity and the United States committed by ISIS because they are attempting to build a robust international coalition. “We’ve got to look before we leap,” he said. “We tried the opposite a decade ago, and that didn’t help us very much in the Middle East.”

Nearly six years after George W. Bush left the White House, the Obama White House has been completely unable to even approach his ability to craft an international coalition. They ruthlessly mocked the size of the 48-member strong force that engaged in combat and nation building in Iraq in 2003 because it did not include France and Canada, but defend the execution of perfectly unilateral military action in Iraq today and demand you consider it consistency.

But this is not the only language of the Bush years Blinken appropriated this week. Appearing on CNN on Wednesday, the deputy national security advisor told Wolf Blitzer that the fight against ISIS may be – like the once-defunct War on Terror – a generational struggle. Except he did not say that. Blinken said that throttling the nascent Islamic State in the crib is a project for the next occupant of the Oval Office.

Obama Ignores Congress, Lifts Ban on Libyans Training in U.S. as Pilots, Nuke Scientists

Less than two years after four Americans got massacred in a terrorist attack on the U.S. Special Mission in Benghazi, Libya the Obama administration is disregarding congressional opposition to lift a decades-old ban on Libyans attending flight schools and training as nuclear scientists in the United States.

The ban was implemented in 1983 after a wave of terrorist incidents involving Libyans. The African nation continues to be a hotbed of terrorism and in fact, the U.S. Embassy in Tripoli was recently evacuated because violence between rival militias has created a deadly environment. Many other foreign governments have also shut down their embassies in Libya because the violence has spread throughout the entire country.

Nevertheless, President Obama has discounted congressional opposition to let Libyans train as pilots, airplane mechanics and nuclear scientists in the United States. Perhaps the commander-in-chief has somehow forgotten that many of the 9/11 hijackers—mostly Saudi nationals—received their training in American flights schools because our government allowed it. Have we not learned that it’s a really bad idea to help our enemies obtain skills that could later be used to attack us?

Official word of this senseless change comes via a final regulation approved by the Office of Management and Budget (OMB). It lifts the longtime prohibition on Libyans coming to the U.S. to attend flight school, work in aviation maintenance or flight operations or to study or train in nuclear science. The Obama administration claims that the ban is no longer necessary because the “United States Government and the Government of Libya have normalized their relationship and most of the restrictions and sanctions imposed by the United States and the United Nations toward Libya have been lifted.”

The move comes just a few months after a congressional hearing addressed what was then the administration’s proposal to overturn the 30-year ban. Before actually reversing the longtime regulation, the administration was required to provide Congress with certain documents that were never provided, according to the heads of the House Judiciary Committee and House Oversight and Government Reform Committee considering the matter. In other words, the president has once again blown off Congress and this week the lawmakers involved in the process expressed outrage.

“The Obama Administration is turning a blind eye to real terrorist threats that exist in Libya today by carelessly forging ahead with its plan to allow Libyan pilots and nuclear scientists to study in the United States,” said House Judiciary Committee Chairman Bob Goodlatte. “The House Judiciary Committee has repeatedly sought information about the Administration’s policy reversal but political appointees at the Department of Homeland Security have stonewalled the Committee’s requests and have not articulated why it is in Americans’ best interests to change policy. Given the ongoing volatility in Libya, it is unconscionable and completely irresponsible that the Administration plans to lift a longstanding policy that protects Americans and our national security from threats in the region.”

At the congressional hearing earlier this year, a top Homeland Security official revealed that the Hillary Clinton State Department first requested the Libyan ban lift in 2010. Three years later, the official, Alan Bersin, told Congress, Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano agreed to begin the process to amend the regulations relating to Libya. This illustrates that the administration started working to lift the ban long before the 2012 terrorist attack on the U.S. Special Mission Compound in Benghazi. Clearly, it was not enough to deter the administration from going forth with its dangerous plan.
